Utah roofs live in sun, snow, wind, and hail. Asphalt dries out. Granules wear off. Some roofs are done. Some still have sound shingles and get replaced because nobody checked. The NuRoof Guys inspect before we recommend a path.

When restoration is the conversation

GoNano restoration is for asphalt shingle roofs that still qualify. The treatment is designed to penetrate beneath the surface of the shingle, helping restore flexibility and improve resistance to aging. For a roof that qualifies, restoration may help postpone replacement. It is not a thick coating, and it is not paint.

A roof can be a candidate when:

  • The shingles are aging but still largely in place
  • The deck is sound
  • Leaks and failed flashing get repaired first
  • You want a straight answer before you commit to a tear-off

Warranty up to 15 years on qualified roofs. We do not promise a specific number of extra years on a roof we have not seen. The inspection is the point where that conversation becomes specific, and the proposal is where the warranty is written down.

When replacement is the right call

Restoration is the wrong recommendation when the roof has already failed. That includes widespread missing shingles, rotted decking, structural problems, or active failure. In those cases we install a complete new roofing system: tear-off, deck inspection, underlayment, flashing, and a ventilation check.

We will say so. The goal is not to talk every homeowner out of a new roof. The goal is to avoid replacing a roof that could have been repaired or restored, and to avoid restoring a roof that should come off.

A simple way to choose

QuestionIf the answer is yes
Are the shingles mostly intact, with isolated problems?Ask about repair, then whether restoration qualifies.
Is the roof actively failing or the deck soft?Plan on replacement.
Are you staring at a hail or wind claim?Get photos and call your insurer. We inspect and document. The carrier decides coverage.
Do you want a number before anyone is on the roof?We don’t quote prices online. The written proposal comes after the inspection.
